![]() I'm asking you why you want to change your story...so what's my story? Well, like yours it's still on-going! My health and fitness journey had an unusual start.........in my late teens, my immune system stopped working properly and for quite a while, I was seriously ill. What stays with me about that time is the feeling that this was just going to be a chapter of my story not the end and that despite my prognosis at that time, I would become strong and have the future that I'd imagined. I thought a lot about being strong and about how I'd achieve that. This chapter in my life became my inspiration. |
I have a lifetime of experience of understanding what a privilege it is to be and stay well, to be as strong as we can be whichever year of our life we happen to be in, to work with our body despite what challenges it has faced and to make our body work with us, so that we stay strong.
And now? I'm in my forties and fitter than I've ever been. As the gold standard of the fitness industry, I chose to study with YMCA Fit to become a Personal Trainer, so that I can help others to feel as fit and strong as they can right now and to improve their health for the future too. My motivation is to help people to make a positive change for their own health and fitness and to provide the right kind of support to get real results. I exercise regularly with a combination of walking, running, cycling, swimming, resistance training, high intensity intervals, body weight exercises, pilates and some core work. I love walking up mountains. I'm passionate about cycling and enjoy taking part in endurance events. I focus carefully on my nutrition and choose real foods that make me strong and help me to perform well. |
