Time to step out into winter - here's why...
Burn some extra calories - your body works hard to maintain it's core temperature, so you'll burn more calories than a workout in warmer weather. Strengthen your heart - its works harder to distribute blood when the temperature drops. If you regularly exercise, winter outdoor sessions can begin to strengthen the heart muscle. Tolerance - you'll get hard core in time, so rather than grimacing, hugging yourself and swearing under your breath, those first few minutes will start to seem normal, doable and (eventually) actually quite pleasant. Vitamin D - light is limited so try to get out, soak it up and enjoy what you can. Be happy - outdoor winter exercise boosts your mood. Layer up, stay hydrated, trigger some endorphins and create your own heat by using your very own body. It's only cold if you're standing still :-)
