f you are a runner, try this...
Once a month, turn off your apps, take off your watch or whatever else you use to track your performance and just run for as long as you want, alone preferably, without thought of times and distance until you've had enough.
The numbers are only numbers. Remember in that monthly run, why you enjoy it - don't push yourself too much unless that feels natural - just relax into it. A once per month reality run, will mean that as you get older andnumbers change, you will always remember why you love it and keep it real in your own head as something that you can never fail at, no matter what anyone else is doing with their run. Your run is your run.
