Hiit & Run

Improve technique...Get strong...Train smarter

A fusion of sport specific running work, free weight circuits & high intensity interval training
Developed and delivered by Lindsey Ryan

What is 'HiiT'?

HIIT or High Intensity Interval Training is a relatively new type of training that has been shown to improve fitness, burn fat and improve endurance. It can benefit elite athletes as well as us lesser mortals and has a major benefit that it is short in duration and allows you to train in an effective way.

Why do free weights?

The combination of HiiT and resistance work is excellent for improving general fitness and burning fat. This session looks at building muscular strength and endurance using weights, whilst raising your metabolic rate long after you've finished your workout.

What is HiiT & Run?

HiiT & Run is a unisex class and incorporates some free weight work, sport specific muscular strengthening work and HiiT to improve strength, endurance and aerobic capacity.
If you are a runner, these classes aim to improve your run and bullet proof you against injury as far as is possible.
You don't need to be a runner to enjoy the fitness benefits of this work.

How can I START?

These are group based sessions, held at Kelfield Institute (YO19 6RE) on Tuesdays 6.30pm-7.15pm. Limited spaces - booking essential.
